We are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer – RF specialist to join our team of dedicated professionals.
Your mission
As a Senior Electronics Engineer – RF specialist at Bisly, you will be responsible for defining and designing RF solutions for wireless building management system from concept to certified hardware. You will collaborate closely with product manager, firmware, hardware and mechanical engineers to make efficient building management possible without the need of additional wiring. This allows renovated buildings to benefit from technology currently available only in completely new buildings. You’ll play a key role in selecting hardware communication frequency, protocols, topology, needed electronics components as well as in practical design and hands on prototyping - everything up until series production.  
Key Responsibilities
  • Concept design of RF electronics  frequencyprotocol and topology selection
  • Requirements definition to comply with European and UK regulations, as well as functional and non-functional requirements
  • Hazard analysis of hardware to make sure that it is safe to use even in case of foreseeable misuse.
  • Component selection and analog or digital circuits simulations
  • Schematics and layout design
  • Hands on prototyping and testing against requirements
  • Production and testing documentation creationsupporting electronics manufacturing
  • Design for reliabilityincluding MTBF estimations
  • Optimization for series production – DfM, DfTDfA
  • Supporting certification testingincluding safety and EMC
  • Support debugging and troubleshooting across firmware, hardware, and system-level issues
  • Document Bisly designs in a form of datasheets, user manuals and application notes
  • Support debugging and troubleshooting across firmware, hardware, and system-level issues
  • Modifying and/or updating existing hardware designs
  • Review other HW engineers circuits, provide input for improvements 
To succeed in this role, you'll have
  • 3+ years of experience in RF circuitry design and testing, 5+ years of general electronics design experience
  • Proficient with Altium Designer
  • Experience with simulations – LT SPICE, Altium or similar
  • Product certification experience (at least EMC)
  • Experience with product concept and requirements definition
  • Proficient with HW test equipment, power supplies, loads, DMMs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, etc
  • Hands on skills of prototyping and soldering
  • Strong interest in building automation

    Bonus points for: Previous experience with building automation devices, IoT devices, risk or hazard analysis, DfX, Altium 365
