We are looking for a Head of Data to join our team of dedicated professionals.
Your mission
As Head of Data, you will own Bisly’s end-to-end data strategy—shaping everything from infrastructure and governance to analytics, experimentation, and privacy. You’ll lead the development of a modern, scalable data platform, including pipelines, warehouses, lakehouses, and other critical systems, while ensuring data quality, modelling, observability, and compliance with privacy standards like GDPR and CCPA. You’ll also be a key enabler across the business, empowering teams from marketing to finance with tools, insights, and education. As a leader, you’ll build and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists, while keeping a strategic eye on emerging technologies and opportunities for innovation in AI, machine learning, and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own our end-to-end data strategy - from infrastructure and governance to analytics and experimentation.
  • Build and evolve our data platformpipelineswarehouseslakehouses, and whatever else makes sense.
  • Define and drive the roadmap for data architecture, tooling, scalability, and privacy compliance.
  • Partner with engineeringproduct, and operations to ensure we’re collecting and using the right data intelligently.
  • Lead efforts around data qualitymodellingobservabilityaccess controls, and user privacy.
  • Develop and champion a clear metrics framework across the company (what gets measuredgets built).
  • Help, educate and provide a data platform for teams across the company (e.g. marketing, financeproductengineering, etc.).
  • Ensure our data practices meet regulatory and ethical standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and build trust in our data handling.
  • Hirecoach, and build a strong team of data engineersanalysts, and scientists team.
  • Keep an eye on the futureemerging tech, AI/ML opportunities, and where Bisly should invest next.
To succeed in this role, you'll have
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineeringanalyticsor related fieldswith at least 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of building and scaling modern data infrastructure (e.g., data lakeswarehouses, real-time pipelines)
  • Deep understanding of data architecturedata modelingETL/ELT processes, and data observability
  • Experience with tools and technologies such as SnowflakeBigQuerydbtApache SparkAirflowor similar
  • Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and experience implementing compliant data practices
  • Ability to define and operationalize a company-wide metrics framework and champion a data-driven culture
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineeringproductoperations, marketing, and finance teams
  • Solid understanding of data governanceaccess controls, and security best practices
  • Familiarity with machine learning platformsAI integrationor driving ML use cases is a plus
  • Strong leadership and communication skillswith a proven ability to hirecoach, and grow high-performing data teams
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term vision with short-term execution
